at William Paterson University

Lab Member Spotlight: Kait

How long have you been a part of the lab? I have been part of the iART lab over the course of my first year here at William Paterson and look forward to several more.

What is your favorite thing about William Paterson's Psy.D. program and working in the lab? I like how both the program and lab responsibilities are designed in a progressive manner with plenty of cross-cohort contact. Learning in a stepwise fashion and interacting with doctoral candidates further along in this program has helped me manage my anxieties about my progress as a student and increased my confidence that I will advance and develop as an efficacious clinician and researcher while in this program (at least a little bit).

What made you choose William Paterson? Many factors went into my decision, but predominantly it was my interest in the iART lab's research focus and my preference for attending an accredited program with an empirically based theoretical focus.  The availability of graduate assistantships and teaching opportunities also entered my cost benefit analysis.

What is a fun fact about yourself? I am a lover of science fiction (and, perhaps, a Trekkie). I also like to write science fiction short stories when I have the time (so, the next story will probably be done some time after my dissertation is completed).
