New York State Psychological Association Training Fair

On September 18th, 2026, several WPU students and iART lab members attended the New York State Psychological Association Internship/Externship/Post-Doc Fair at Touro University.

The fair began with a panel of five internship training directors from some of the foremost internship sites in New York City. The panel struck a balance between informative and reassuring, as the five training directors answered the students’ burning questions and offered key insights into what makes a strong applicant really stand out. The panel was followed by an equally instructive presentation on how to plan for a postdoctoral training position and pursue licensure.

Finally, the NYSPA Training Fair brought together representatives from 73 different practicum training sites across New York. It was an excellent opportunity for both conversation and connection. Overall, it was an illuminating experience that helped many students get a clearer picture of their practicum training, the internship process, and the next major milestones in their careers.
